Our competition was a big success thanks to all the hard work and effort put in by so many children in the PET!
Well done to all the children who sent in their fabulous ideas and drawings. We were so impressed with them that selecting a winner has been almost impossible but after many discussions, soul searching and advice from the experts, we have finally shortlisted our favourites. Our decisions were based on who we thought had shown an understanding of the brief and most importantly impressed us with their ideas.
This is where we have made it complicated for ourselves! We have given the designers at Wakefield College, all the winning logos and asked them to come up with something which may or may not incorporate elements of their design in the final logo. Wakefield College have been busy planning a day on the 16th March 2016 for our five chosen designers, which will include:
9.15am pick up at PET HQ
10am - Students to arrive at Thornes to look at the designer’s role. See how taking a concept and turning it into a design is achieved.
11.30am – Students to be transported to Wakefield Campus
11.45am – Lunch
12.15 – Students to have a graphic Design ‘Masterclass’; and work on their own designs with tutor Rob Walker.
2pm – Students depart.
Please note that this itinerary may slightly change but will be confirmed closer to the date!
